The transmition positoin indicator lights on my 1999 century do not work. They are the lights on the dashboard that tell you what gear you are in. Everything else on the dashboard light up and work fine. I checked all the fuses and they are all good. I recently washed the motor could there be a switch or plug that I could have knocked off? Without the indicator lights the only way to tell what gear I'm in is by feel when shifting. I have 135000 miles on this car. It runs great and I want to sell it but this problem just occured.

I have cleaned the engine on these cars after completing some repairs and on a couple of them I got the underhood fuse box wet and I had alot of weird stuff gong on with the cluster. I would recomend blowing the fuse box out with air and trying to dry it out before I attempted any other repairs.
