Car is overheating and when I turn off the engine to let it cool?

Hi, my car has been bubbling for less than a minute when I turn the engine off but now the car is overheating and when I turn off the engine to let it cool, the bubbling sound is more intense and longer lasting.

Hello,

This sounds like you could have a stuck thermostat. Your vehicle uses a thermostat to regulate the engine's temperature by opening when the coolant reaches a certain temperature. This allows the coolant to be pumped around and through the radiator where it is air cooled and pumped back through the engine's water jacket, pulling away the heat of the engine. When the thermostat sticks closed, it will not open and the coolant is not allowed to circulate and your vehicle's engine will overheat.
