Brake fluid leak

Hello,

I have the car listed above SXT model 2015, low mileage that I just got from the dealership recently. It was leaking fluid by the front passenger side tire. I wiped it and it was a yellow fluid which I figured would be brake fluid. It's leaking onto the tire. It happened right after I pressed my brakes too hard, and the pedal felt easier to press afterwards. I was parked and trying to shift transmission from parking into drive. I wasn't speeding and slammed on it. What do you think could be leaking and what's your estimate of the cost?

Hello,

Brake fluid is clear in color.
I know there are coolants that are yellow.

From what you are describing, it could leak brake fluid from the caliper or the brake hose that goes to the caliper on that side.
Frist check the brake fluid level. If it is low add some.
Then have someone depress the brake and see if you can tell where the fluid is coming out of.
Depending on what is leaking the price will vary for the parts' cost. It can be around $25.00 for the hose and about $120.00 for the caliper.
As for installation, it will depend on whether you do it or whether a shop does it. Also, different shops have different labor rates so that can vary as well.
