2004 BMW 325 Crunch noise as window goes down or up on 325i

Noises problem
2004 BMW 325 6 cyl 77000 miles

My 325I passenger window was going down today and made a crunching noise when getting near the end to being down. The rear side of the window was still showing about 1/8". When I put the window up I think it is off the track. There are plastic pcs that hold the window I think? I have replaced window regulators on my other cars and they were missing a tooth. What do you think about this? My other question is what precautions to take if I try to diognose by removing the door panel since there is a side airbag in there.

The window regulators are making the noise. The attach point to the cable on one of the sliders has lost its integrity and the window is screeching/crunching due to the glass against the "U" channel track. When performing these repairs, disconnect the battery so the airbag system wont log a fault and you dont need to remove the airbags from the wiring connector, just hold them out of the way and you wont risk damaging the connector, it is how I do it.
