Can anyone tell me what to look for when the window goes down but stops going up after traveling about a inch upward?

updated 10/22/09
Got the window to go up all the way. However, the window used to drop a little when I opened the door and when I shut it would inch up a little to make a tighter seal on the convertible top. The driver's side works flawlessly. Is there a micro switch or something I should order and where would I locate it on the 1995 325ic? Thanks

The anti trap may need re-initialization. Run the window up, a bit at a time, and when it is all the way up, hold the button in the up position for at least 5 seconds. Repeat if initialization is canceled.

In response to your October 22 posting, the switch is in the door latch, the one in the "B" pillar, be careful removing the screws, as the plate that they screw into can drop, and then you will be mad, I know.
