I went to open my driver side door of my BMW manually and the key got stuck in it---ideas about how to get it our?

I would try a bit of force. If no joy then the lock cylinder can be removed be accessing the 4mm allen screw under that little black plastic cover at the door edge next to the lock assembly and go see a locksmith.
