I have 2006 BMW 325i which is out of warranty. Neither my hand remote or the door lock buttons inside the car open any of the doors (all 4 doors). Allthe doors are locked and won't unlock when I use the door handle either. The only way I can get in the car is using my Key to open the driver door. The trunk however locks and opens with the remote.

I'd appreciate any tips.

Without knowing what the fault is I would not be able to help much. The dealer or an independent with the GT-1 will be able to solve this puzzle. Have you checked all the fuses?

I have the same exact problem. The driver door I always unlock with the key because I have not got a chance to replace my key fob. I bought one but just have not got that far. The button does not work on any of the doors, it will lock the driver door but fails to unlock it. The car also has no idea when I have unlocked it so I have to pull the emergency latch in the trunk to fill up my tank. If anyone has any solution, that would be great. I want to avoid dealers and kind of fix it myself. The first day this started happening I couldn't get the doors to lock with the button so I had to manually walk around the car and push them down because I was going to work, the next day, it wouldn't unlock and none of the doors seem like they are even connected to the car itself if that makes sense. Normally if I forget my key in the car, it'll pop up the locks and won't let me lock it until it knows I have the key, but now, it will just lock. No popping back up or nothing.

Hello,

We first must check for power at fuses # f56, f57 and f19 here is a guide to help us get started and the door lock wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works and the location of the fuses below.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
