My car will not start in morning, just cranks and cranks.
I have left auto charger on all night same problem.
If I use booster on charger it will start right up and run all day. I have replaced battery, fuel filter, fuel intank pump, spark plugs, fuel pump relay, and air intake boot. All fuses are good.
I love my car but cann't go anywhere over night.
Thanks in advance

An `87 with 77k, have you inspected/replaced the intake manifold gaskets, is the valve lash set correctly? The last 7 of the vin will help to ID the car better.

No I do not know how to inspect intake Manifold gaskets. Did not know there was more then one.

Do not know what Valve Lash is and do not know how to set it.I checked my Bentley Manual and could not find any info on both items.
Thank you in advance!

1980 E21 320I with the M20 motor that actually has a carburetor. It aint a 1987 car is it? Setting valves is needed every 10-15k miles.

OK. The identification of the car through the VIN tells something different. 12/1980 E21 w/m20. Argument is pointless

the battery is not dead. Engine turns over ok but will not start unless I connect a charger and turn on booster. Once I have it running It will start up ok. If I leave it for more then 3hrs I run the risk that it will not start. The last few days it has been low 60's in FL keys and it is harder to start with the booster on.
