1987 BMW 325 car won't start

The engine turns over but won't start up. Anything I can do or check. Would one of the decoders tell me anything (the ones you plug in and it gives you a code of a problem)

Also my odometer does not work, speedodometer works, is this an easy repair?

An `87 might have a fuel pump that is just old and can't make any pressure, Try spraying some parts cleaner in the intake and if it starts, it's time to look at the pump, it should be in the tank.
