Check engine light and traction control Symbol on with blinking HLO turned on?

My car just all of a sudden brought up the check engine light, traction control symbol on the dashboard with blinking HLO.

This could be a speed sensor issue or something more serious. I would suggest we start with checking codes and finding out what codes we have. Here are a couple guides that will help with this. Clearly the ABS guide is not the traction control system but pulling the codes from these two systems are similar.

If you have a scanner that can pull these codes then it is pretty simple as it will just provide them for you. Here are a couple videos that will help as well:

The first is how to test a wheel speed sensor if we have any of these codes. If we do you can go ahead and do this test.
