So last month we replaced the spider injector and the blazer ran great until this week. This week it would start but once you put it in gear it would die. Then it would have trouble starting again, it would crank crank crank like three tries and then start. Then it would go in gear and run fine. Did that for three days, then yesterday as we were driving it died. Won't start again unless you undo the fuel pump fuse and push the gas pedal to the floor, then it crank crank cranks and starts, if you plug the fuse back in and stay on the gas it stays running, but as soon as your foot comes up it dies. We were told fuel regulator (which is on the spider injector) so we replaced it. The blazer started right up and idled fine. Went 30 feet and back to square one. Help?

Sound like you may have an injector sticking open when it does not start pull the plugs to see which one is wet. Also the injectors are opened through the ground side make sure the wires going to the injectors are not grounding out somewhere

All the fuses have been checked out. It has spark. It was 62, but as soon as you shut the key off the pressure dies

You have an injector stuck open the injectors can and do stick open. That is way you fuel pressure doesn't hold when key off.

So how do you get to the injectors on a vehicle that has a spider. Are you talking under where the connections clip in?

So for them to check the injectors from the ground side they will have to go deeper into the motor and the will be able to see the one stuck open then?

The injector was put on both times by a chevy mechanic. But we can take the plenum off and look. Right now we are trying to figure out if we need to go deeper into the motor to see if the injector is stuck open

It may be the pulse dampner is bad as well as a restricted fuel filter or leaking fuel line as itdoesn't hold pressure and it should.

So the injector theory can't be because there's only one injector and it's in the spider. It could be a clog somewhere but it's flooding itself out so it's getting to much fuel
