Auxiliary fan not working

My vehicle has a fan operated by the engine and pulleys but there is also an auxiliary fan and that is not coming on. Sometimes the temperature gets above normal so I went to AutoZone to see if they list a cooling fan switch or sensor and no they do not list one. So I am wondering where else to look. Is there a relay or something else to look for? If so what is its location? Thanks for your help.

Hello,

It sounds like the relay is bad or the fan is bad. Here is a guide to help you run some test and the fan wiring diagrams so you can see how the system work with the relay location:
