I have an A6 3.0 Quattro Audi and my car doesn't drive the way it used to. I have spent thousands of dollars trying to fix the issue and NO mechanic can find what is wrong with it. I can be driving and all of a sudden the ESP light will come on and when I stop at a light, or stop sign or slow down below 15mph my car rpm's go down to 0, then the battery light comes on and my car shuts off. I have to put it in park then restart my car and accelerate then my car chokes and sometimes reverses a little then goes forward, but if the lights still on it will stall when I stop again. If that light is on and I'm on the highway going over 50mph for like 15mins the light goes out and my car won't stall it's only when that light is on. I have replaced my MAF sensor, my timing, Just replaced my catalytic converters yesterday which was what the codes were saying. Yet TODAY my car stalled again 6 times. It's very frustrating! I've heard so many different possibilities. What could it be, this is what I have in mind: Camshaft sensor, O2 sensors, Airflow Mass Meter, Clogged intake port, clean water drains? I don't know what else. Please someone has this happened to you? It's that little light w/ a triangle and exclamation point in center w/ an arrow around it. It's frustrating as this has been going on for over 4yrs with thousands of dollars and multiple mechanics even AUDI Specialist. Any ideas?

Hi, I own an Audi A4 02 quattro, I have a simillar problem. When I drive my car for more than 15-20 minutes when engines gets normal temperature, my batterie light will come on and engine will stall as for my power steering fails. I often have to stop to the side of the road and wait a couple of minutes before starting the car again. Since I drive standard transmision I just give it gas and it will goand after I have starded it up I will have that famous ESP light comming on. Some mecanics claim that it could be resulting from a bad computer, defective coils, gas pump failure, too much pressure in motor due to bad oil pump and dirty filters. What I have done about it I called my audi dealer and ask for OUTSTANDING RECALLS and give your car serial number, and they tell you what parts needs to be change that are manufactured garanteed, all repairs are 100% free. And you never know maybe those recals can be the solution to you're problem.
