No, they make a specific cleaner for the MAF. Don't use carb cleaner or anything like brake cleaner. Use the cleaner specific for a MAF. The chemicals in carburetor cleaner and others can damage the sensor.

I bought some MAF sensor cleaner and sprayed some on the sensor today. I sprayed some on it let it sit for a little while and sprayed some more. Yesterday it was flooding so bad it would not run on its own. Today is different, it has been running on its own but not sure how long that will last.I will drive it tonight to see how it runs. I received the new IACV but it's raining so it will not be put on right away maybe in the next few days it will be installed.

Interesting. Just the idea that there is a change makes the concept more realistic. Let me know if it continues. You may have found the problem.

It tried to quit tonight but I pressed gas pedal, it's still missing a little bit.
I sprayed the MAF while it was still in the throttle body, I was thinking there still might be some spray in there causing it to read wrong, not sure on that but I will try it out again tomorrow. There are 2 small black wires that's on the bottom of a connector on the back side of the plugin, 2 plugins close together )that the IACV is plugged into. Do you know what those 2 very small wires are for, if you need me to, I can take a picture of them and send to you. They come off the bottom of the connector and go towards the back and top of the engine? This plug in is closer to the firewall towards the back of motor.

Hi,

That's a tough one from here. Can you see where they appear to lead to? Also, a picture may help.

Let me know.

If you're looking at the throttle body from in front of the truck you will see the IACV plugin across and to the right of throttle body behind it is another plugin connector that has 2 small black wires that are on the bottom part of the plug in and they go to the back side of the motor behind the throttle body in the top part of the motor. Can I send pictures on here?

Hi,

Yes, you can upload a picture. As far as the wire's, are you sure they are black? The only thing I can think of in that area is the EVAP purge control solenoid.

Joe, it's still wanting to flood out, do you have any ideas? I was thinking these after market IACV aren't what we might think they are. I'm thinking about ordering an Hitachi IACV one from someone else online. Give me your thoughts. Thank you

I personally don't like using inexpensive aftermarket parts. There are, however, specific brands I do trust. When you say it feels like it is flooding, is there every an excessive fuel smell that would indicate that as a possibility?
