New battery put in about six months ago. It drove great since. Then had an issue with the brakes so car sat about two months. But was periodically started then it sat without being started about two to three weeks. Went to finally use it and would not start. No noise made just would not turn over. It did start when jumped but once you turn it off it will not start again unless you jump it. We did have a few extremely cold days and nights, so I wonder if that affected my battery because to me it just seems like the battery. But, I also know it could be a number of other things as well. So anyone have any ideas? Prior to me putting in a new battery the car did sit for a while probably about six to nine months.

Best thing going!

Take the battery to a popular auto parts store.

They will fully test them and it is usually for free!

Even a new battery can be defective.

As far as connections go, see "my answers" in my link on checking
stuff.

We also have a section at the top right of our pages called "repair guides",

I also got this out ofthere for you.

There are other related guides in there, check them out.

Thank you so much for even responding. I am going to do everything you suggested first. I am a female with kids doing most of it myself but can get some help in the evenings so I may not be able to post back to you too fast but I will as I complete each step. Serious appreciation for your help. I have read these forums before but never asked a question because it never seemed like anything was too recent so I was extremely happy to have a reply! Thank you. I will be in touch.

Sorryhas taken me so long to respond. I charged the battery n its been working fine starting right up n keeping the charge. Now I just have to figure out the brake issue. I had the back discs changed n it was fine for a while but now the brakes are not working until I push the pedal all the way in n the brake light comes on. When I changed the discs the brake fluid was empty I filled it a couple times but now I wonder if its just air in the line causing this n I shoukd bleed them as the first step in trying to fix this issue. Any opinion on this?
