I have a 2001 P71 which has not caused me any problems except a couple weeks ago I went to start it and it cranked but wouln't start. Needless to say after an hour and a half and after disconnecting the positive terminal for about 5 min it fired right up. It's been great and about 2 weeks ago replaced the fuel filter. Still started and ran great. I went to leave work 2 nights ago and the same thing, now it cranks but doesn't fire. The inertia switch is good, all fuses good, no frayed wires. The spark plugs were replaced about a month ago.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm gonna start with replacing the fuel pump relay. Anyone know how to open that box under the hood that slides up, trying to figure how to get inside to pull the relay. Does anyone have any experience or similar problems? I need to get back on the rad ASAP. Much appreciated!

Before you jump to a conclusions I would make sure it is a fuel problem and not an ignition problem. Have you test for spark? What leads you to believe it's a fuel problem? I suggest you check for spark first then for fuel before you buy or replace any parts for no reason. Good luck hope this helps :)
