1997 Eclipse GS

I have a 1997 mitishibishi eclipse gs with 105,000 miles on it. When first started there is no somle but if it is allowed to warm up for an extended period of time it smokes a light bluish/white smoke for about a quartermile. Also if sitting idleing for 4 to 5 minutes and start driving again the same thing occures. Ives checked the compression and it was fine. Ive also replaced the valve cover gasket. If anyone knows whats wrong any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I had the same problem in my other eclipse and if I where you I would check the valve seals and/or your piston rings, that was my problem.

I have a 1996 eclipse with the same problem, I tried several different things, but I had the valve seals replaced and that was 6 months age and wow, no more smoke! The 500 bucks I spent was worth it.
