1988 Festiva

This car has been in a garage for about a year and a half, now I pulled it out and tried to start it. The motor only runs when I spray carb cleaner in the carb or when I constantly feed it gas. Is it not getting fuel because of a bad fuel filter? Everything else seems fine.

Try some starting fluid. If the vehicle starts and then dies right away, you could have a bad fuel pump/regulator, or possibly, but not as likely, a plugged fuel filter. Always start with the smallest, cheapest item to replace and work your way to the major stuff.

After a year and a half the fuel is NG see if you can drain it and refill.
