Hi,

Here is a guide that walks you through pulling the system into a vacuum and recharging it. Then the second link is how to just add Freon. As long as you don't have a leak this will be what you need. If you have a leak, then the Freon you add will just leak out. Also, if Freon can leak out, then moisture can get in and this will damage the compressor and other components so you will want to get the leak fixed and then evacuate the system and refill it.
