2000 Acura Integra engine light on. Idle code

My engine light has come on 3 times now and has been taken in to say idle code but mechanics say nothing is malfunctioning. Engine light on again and now the car is idling stangely. RPMs bounce when idle. Has not stalled yet but when driving it feels like its pulling down a gear. When idle the engine surges and when the ac is on and car is idle it blows hot air and makes a clicking sound. Has trouble starting at times. Don't want to pay for another diagnostic test again. Can you help with this?

Firstly you can get a free diagnostic test from autozone, secondly I believe you may have a vacuum leak. Listen for a hissing sound in the engine compartment, another way to check is to get some brake kleen or throttle body cleaner, and gently mist it around the vacuum hoses, if the idle changes then you have a leak in the vacinity of where you just sparyed the cleaner.
