2000 Acura Integra engine light

I was driving on the freeway and miss a gear. And accidentally rev my engine high. When I got home my idle goes up and down and sometimes engine shuts off. And now the check engine light came on. Please help I have a 2000 acura integra gsr by the way. Thank you!

Hi merck,

The engine has a built in rev limited and unless the ECM/PCM has been tampered, it should not be any problem.

You need a scan to find out what is wrong. Get a free scan done at your local Autozone outlet and come back with the exact error code and we will see what needs to be done.
