Up until two-weeks ago Ms Integra had been virtually trouble free - just the usual regular maintenance.

However earlier this month she just STOPPED. Took her to the dealership - the ignition coil - wires & spark plugs were replaced and the oil was changed.

Two days later Ms Integra would not start. Took her back to the dealership - the battery was replaced.

On the drive home - that same day the Check Engine Light came on. Took her back to the dealership and now they want to replace the Catalytic Converter.

Does this sound right to you?
Aren't all of these things looked at when work is being done under the hood on a car where the initial problem was it's inability to start?

The expense of this repair is way over the top and can't be handled at this time. Can waiting to repair the Catalytic Converter cause any other major damage to the engine?

This all sounds reasonable. The faulty spark plugs and ignition coil wiped out your catalytic convertor. It just took a couple of days for the MIL to actually set and tell you that.

Unfortunately mechanics cannot check everything when they look at vehicles, so problems like these do occur.
