Why would my s3 light flash while cranking then stop and now it stays on when cranking and now it wont start

I have the problem but the car drives fine, the light flashes, I used to have that problem because sometimes it did not want to start. The light stays on but the car drives fine. The reason ur car does not start is probably youre fuel pressure regulator. So I suggest if the car will not start you need to change youre fuel pressure regulator.

The s3 light also the MIL for the transmission so when cranking for long periods, it might flash. It is not the problem, it just tells you something might be wrong

If the engine does not start, you need to verify whether it is the fuel or sparks that are causing the problem.
