After the A/C has been on, it stops blowing air normally?

Stops blowing at normal speed after running a little while, but air is still cold the fan just stops blowing full speed through the air vents. Could this be the actuator blend motor switch?

Hi,

If the fan motor isn't slowing down, then I suspect the mode door actuator for the panel is failing.

The mode door actuator (there are two on this vehicle), is what determines the air flow direction. It sounds like it is changing direction.

When this happens, do you notice the air flow increase at a different location such as defrost or the floor? Is there ever a clicking sound from under the dash?

I attached the directions for replacing the actuator below. They are mounted on the HVAC box under the dash. Make sure the battery is disconnected for at least 30 minutes before working on it. Also, before replacing anything, pay attention to see if the airflow direction is changing. Also, with them removed, pay attention to see if you hear a clicking sound when this happens.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
