While driving or just starting the car the AC will stop blowing cold and then the temperature gauge stops working. We have replaced the thermostat and the ECT sensor. After changing the ECT sensor it starting working for about 60 miles then it did the same thing. What could be going on?

Good morning,

When you replaced the ECT, did the car start blowing cold air again?

Can you tell me the high and low side pressure readings of the AC system?

Are there any codes set?

Sorry. Yes, when we changed the ECT and thermostat the AC started blowing cold again. It stayed on for awhile then after the car was sitting for awhile when I got back in it to leave the temperature gauge wouldn't work and the AC was blowing hot again and the fans kicked on instantly.
