Hi,

I have to be honest, I think the system is low on freon. In 1991 and 1992 these vehicles incorporated a low A/C charge warning system. If a low charge is detected, the system will usually indicate it by the control head face blinking.

You should start by checking both the high and low side pressure of the system. You will need an A/C manifold gauge kit. Do this and let me know the readings and let me know the outside temperature when it was tested.

Here is a link that shows the gauges I'm referring to. The link is for recharging, but I'm including it for the pics.

Also, here is a link that you may find helpful. It reviews the most common causes of an AC system not working.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

You are very welcome. I'm glad to know it took care of the issue. When I think back, you would be surprised how many control units were replaced for this exact issue. A lot of money was wasted.

As far as helping me, I need too much help. LOL I'm just glad I was able to direct you.

Take care of yourself and please feel free to come back anytime in the future if you need anything. You are always welcome here.
