I was driving on the highway the ABS light came on

I started my vehicle I was driving on the highway the ABS light came on. I pulled over to the side and turned the car off the ABS light went off. So I don't know if my car is safe to drive or what I should do now?

Hello,

When the on-board diagnostics detects a fault within the ABS system the light gets illuminated.
There are several reasons of why the ABS light come on.
It could be due to a faulty wheel speed sensor, corroded wiring, bad module etc.
Best course of action would be to have the vehicle scanned for ABS codes. As that can help with the diagnostics.
