A/C Freon Level?

So, I plugged in to the low pressure and it says it's at 40 PSI, but I live here in Texas. If the sun is facing towards me directly in front, I have to have the A/C fan speed at a 6 to feel okay. Is that a problem because I feel like I shouldn't have to have it at that speed in order to feel cold? Any advice? Any suggestions? Should I put a bit more Freon?

The A/C system can only do so much and in the Texas heat it can be difficult to stay cool, the system might need more refrigerant but if you overcharge it the system will not perform well. We need to see the high side pressure to confirm the system is fully charged, please go over this video to help. Also check out this guide which can help:
