A/C wasn't working a friend emptied all air out from lines put new refrigerant and compressor turned on beautifully ac nice and cold next morning I turned on the AC and compressor didnt turn on. So I thought I had a leak and that all the refrigerant had leaked out. So I bought a leak seal refrigerant bottle to put in and as I was doing so I noticed that the can was still full so I removed it and I figure I check to see if it has refrigerant and I released some out and the compressor kicked on I used it all day working fine. Now the next morning my compressor doesnt engage again. What could it be and what can I do.

Hi,

We need to start with what the actual pressure is in the system on the high and low side. This will tell us what is going on in the system.

If you don't have access to a gauge set then you can rent one from the local parts store as most of them rent tools these days.

Let me know what the high and low side pressure is and what the ambient temp is when you took the reading and we can go from there. Thanks
