2000 Nissan Altima A/C not working properly

My ac might work during or on a cool day but during the heat of the day it doesnt work at all

It doesn't work or is it just not cool?

If not cool during hot weathers, check for operations of condenser fans.

Its the compressor thats not kicking on when its on the ac works fine thanks for reponding

If the compressor is not working, then you need to check for gas and power supply.

Have checked gases and power could it be the pressure switch

Hi EDWINBROWN,

Loop the pressure switch circuit and see if the AC compressor works.

If it works, then the switch is suspect.
