My air conditioning was not blowing very cold at all so, we attempted to fix it with a can of A/C PRO, but someone did that wrong and it did not make my A/C any colder. Then all of a sudden one day my air would not blow at all on any of the five speeds. My man replaced the blower motor and the blower motor resistor and we found out my air compressor needs replaced as well, but have not gotten that far yet however, we do have the it used in working condition from a junkyard waiting to be installed. Anyways, my car now decides it wants to crank and not start and we have tried almost everything to figure it out. We thought it was a bad fuel injector pressure regulator, but did not want to pay for a part of it was not necessarily bad. Anyways, we finally realize that the issue is the A/C BFC 10 amp fuse was blown and we did not have a 10 amp fuse at the time and so we used a 20 amp instead and she fired right up then days later she would not start again. Sometimes she would crank and sometimes there was nothing; no crank at all and no start. So, after this happening a few times we have pin pointed that the car is blowing that fuse and as long as we keep replacing it we can drive for up to a day before it blows again. But, this is becoming quite the issue and I do not need anything else to go wrong on top of it. So, we need to figure out why it keeps blowing and how to fix it. I got some sea foam and fuel injector cleaner or treatment and hoped that might help a little anyways. I do not know what to do because my car has been a very reliable car of four years now and I do not want to get rid of her anytime soon, but I really need a running vehicle.

Good evening.

Whatever the issue is for the short, you have mow compounded the issue by using a bigger fuse.

Never, ever put a larger fuse in the circuit. You most likely have damaged the wire harness along with any other wires that are close to it.

You will need a short finder such as the one provided with a power probe to find all the locations of the damage.

I would start there.

OMG, that does not make me happy, but if there is damage I am sure it was already done by now. I just know that my car is part of our family and I do not want her to go anywhere else it become anything else. My plan is to just keep letting her part me out and keep replacing things as I have been the past four years and sooner or later she will be a brand new car. I love my little red sports car. I read your reply to my man and he is going to look into it because it definitely sounds like there is a ground issue with her. But my man and my old mechanic think I may have the wrong fuse box lid to my car and that the fuses were in the right spot until we started checking fuses and relays and trying to match them to the diagram that may or may not be wrong for my car. So he has the correct diagrams for my car and is going to cross reference them this weekend. I would like to get her fixed again by Monday because I have to go back to work. I will also have him check out your advice and we will kind of go from there I guess. Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it a lot.

We have not had the chance to check the wiring yet and locate where the grounding issue is. I believe he may have still put a larger fuse in the A/C BFC and we have been driving it where we need to go. I think this morning he said it was not that fuse that blew, but it was another fuse - a large one - one of those maxi fuses - #1 - IGN SW-BATT2 - he says - whatever that is? It is a green 30amp maxi! What does that mean? Now it does have a bigger issue? What could it possibly be? Pictures posted are the engine fuse housing with diagrams and stuff, but we are not exactly sure if this is the right diagram for my car or not. Can you - he is a little slow at getting things done, might tonight!
