I have an 8.1 vortec and when I come to start it it crank and running rough and shut off 2-3 time and after it starts normally 2 seconds. But if I leave the key in the on position and pump the accelerator pedal 10 time he starts at the quarter of a turn but he won’t stay running after 2 seconds he stop. And the pump is functional, the relays are tested, the spark plugs are new, fuel regulator are tested and I have no fuel level and I put 25 liter of gasoline and I have no fuel level in my cluster and no voltage indicator even if my battery is new but my cluster are rebuild by a pro.

Hi,

Have you tested the ignition relay? When the key is in the start or run position, the ignition relay sends power to the following fuses:

- PCM 1
- ETC/ECM
- INJ 1
- INJ 2

If the relay is going bad, you will lose power to the aforementioned components and the vehicle will shut down.

I attached the steps for testing the ignition relay system. Take a look through them and let me know if you find anything helpful.

Also, have you scanned the computer for diagnostic trouble codes? If not, you should.

Here is a video showing how it's done:

IF you already have done that, let me know if any codes were found.

Let me know.

Joe
