4WD not working properly

When I put truck in 4wd it goes in and shortly after I hear a bang and it disengages. It has electric switch on dash.

It sounds like the encoder (actuator #11) is not engaging the transfer case fully. Here is a diagrams below so you can see where the unit is located I would try replacing that first.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
