Intake position actuator solenoid

Hello,

I am looking for the location of the intake position actuator solenoid. I know I have to remove the air filter box and the engine cover, but after that I am lost. And also, I need the size of the hex screws to remove the engine cover.

I think you are looking for the solenoid. The actuator is an entirely different thing.

Okay, yes this is the part I got from Chevrolet. The code said it is the intake camshaft position solenoid, bank 1. The picture you showed me, is that the intake side or the exhaust side?

That is the intake side but the part probably fits either side.

Okay, great. I am assuming I will need to take the engine cover off, correct? Can you tell me what size the hex bolts are? Thanks

Probably 10mm.
