Hi my name is Zac. Thank you for helping me today. When I'm coming to a stop and my car hits 20 mph, it jerks one time hard. It's every time I decelerate at 20 mph. If I put the car in neutral when I am slowing down it doesn't do it. But if the car is in drive, and as soon as it hits 20 mph when I slow down, it has a single violent jerk. Please help I don't know what to do. Thank you

Check the motor mounts and the transmission mounts. They may be broken or are weak.
Also take to a few transmission shops and have them test drive it.

Good afternoon,

This sounds like the transmission is downshifting very hard. After the 1 jerk, does it do it again?

Are there any codes set?

This could also be a motor mount. They need to be inspected and checked for play. Any shop can do this.
