Engine will not start

My car listed above is an XR 3.6L. It was running and then I stopped at a store, when I came out five minutes later the car would not start right away. It then started but very rough and sputtered. I was able to pull out of the spot I was in and when I attempted to accelerate onto the road it shut off. I could get it started again but very very brief and it was hard. Now it will not start at all. It cranks but just will not turn over. Changed the plugs, checked compression, checked fuel system all okay. Even changed the Crankshaft position sensor since that was a code that was tripped prior to this. Please help someone. I do not know if it jumped timing or if there is some other problem.

Can you hear the fuel pump turn on in the tank? If not the fuel pump sounds like it has gone bad which is common. Here is a guide to show you what you are in for when doing the job and diagrams below on how to change the pump in your car:

Yep, I just had my pump replaced for the same problem it cost me $460.00.
