2007 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited with 42RE automatic transmission - I am getting a check engine light code of P0883 – TCM Power output High.
This is resulting in my Automatic transmission going into “limp in mode” (per Chrysler), which means the transmission will never shift out of second gear.
Is this a common problem, or is there a most likely cause?

Hello,

This happens when there is a lack of a ground or power source. There is a transmission control relay that can cause this problem. Here is how you test it to confirm the failure.

check the fuses as well.

If both are okay here is a guide to help you check the wiring.

The fuse panel and relay locations are (below) along with the transmission wiring diagrams

Check out the diagrams (Below)

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Cheers, Ken
