2007 GMC Sierra Steering Wheel Radio Controls

Steering wheel radio controls no longer operate the radio correctly. The mute button switches from XM to the CD player. Toggle up and down buttons change stations instead of toggle between program button keys. Disconnected and reconnected batteries hoping for a reset with no change.

Hello hays 13 . Sounds like u have a good one your hands. The first thing I would do is to make sure Ur horn is working correctly because there could be something going on in the steering wheel its self a bad ground somewhere. Then I would take the positive and negative terminals of the battery and hold together for 3 mins then put back on that should reset your memory for everything you will have to let the hole thing relearn by letting it run for ten minutes or so and if that does not fix the problem you will have to consider a new steering wheel
