The blower stopped working. I Checked the fuses and they are good Was going to try to see if I need to replace the transistor but do not know where it is located or how to replace. They told me that there was a recall on the blowers for the 06 models but I am not the original owner. So trying to repair on my own. Unless it might be the switch itself. Need all the help I can get.

Hi,

Does the blower motor work on any speed? If not, I need you to check fuse 32 in fuse box 3. See pic 1. In addition to checking the fuse, confirm there is power to it. Here is a link you may find helpful:

Next, check the blower motor relay. Here are the directions for testing it. Do this next.

BLOWER MOTOR RELAY INSPECTION

1. Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
2. Remove blower motor relay (1) from vehicle.
3. Check that there is no continuity between terminal "c" and "d". If there is continuity, replace relay.

See pic 2

4. Connect battery positive (+) terminal to terminal "b" of relay.
Connect battery negative (-) terminal to terminal "a" of relay.
Check continuity between terminal "c" and "d".
If there is no continuity when relay is connected to the battery, replace relay.

If both are good, then you should check to see if there is power to the motor itself. If there isn't, suspect the blower motor resister is bad. If there is power, suspect the motor itself it bad.
