I tuned on my heater this morning and it instantly filled the car with the smell of something burning. I tuned off the heat, and now it no longer blows air (hot or cold). Does this mean that by blower motor has gone out?

You probably nailed it right on the head. Luckily blower motors are not terribly difficult to replace but you should still verify there is power and ground, (positive and negative voltage), to the motor before just replacing it. This can be done with a test light, with long a wire, attached first to the positive battery post and then the negative, blower switch on "high" and touching the tip to the inside of the disconnected terminals. It should light up for both tests.

Good luck.
