High beams work, not low beams. The socket where it plugs in is somewhat melted and looks like a wire bad. I can't find out anything on line about what the parts are that are needed or about what it would cost to fix it.

Have you checked to see if there is power to the socket when the low beams should be on? Can you upload a pic for me to see what has melted? One other question. You mentioned that the bulbs burn out. Is there any condensation getting into the light assembly itself?

Low beams will work for a few hours when you replace the bulb. I can't upload a picture, wish I could, but what is melted is where you plug the light in. It is actually my son's car, and we are very broke, so I am worried. I have to leave tomorrow morning for 5 days and worried.
