Got timing belt and water pump, crank and cam seals changed 2 days ago. Car now makes whining sound on acceleration. What could this be? It never made this sound prior to repairs. Car makes whining sound after timing belt, water pump and crank/ cam seal replacement. Did not make noise prior to 90k timing replace
ment.

Cannot take it in until tomorrow as I am wo
rking till after they close. I suspect loose belt. In changing said timing belt a/c had to be discharged and re barges and drive belt taken off. So I'm thinking perhaps something has gone wrong there.

Overtensioning of belts will do this, particcularly with a cog type belt like the timing belt
