In the last year and a half the wheel bearings and hub assembly needed to be replaced 3 times on the left side of my car. What could be causing this problem so often. My car is a 2005 Grand Am and gets driven 15 to 20,000 km per year. Thanks for your time, Sherry Eisnor

In that year change was made in hub as to axle nut torque. Early year nut is black and tightens to 284 ft. Lbs. Later is gray and tightens to 173 ft. Lbs. What we see is later hub being torqued to earlier 284 ft. Lbs. And shortens life of bearing. Work done at same repair facility?

Yes all my car repairs are done at the dealership since I owned the car, but that is going to change.
