The car had a problem where it wouldn't turn over until I pushed the gas pedal to force the car to start. Now in the winter time jump started the battery. The car almost wants to turn but won't quite. Might be fuel injection.

So the engine would would crank/spin just not start until you held the gas pedal to the floor? Also now its just cranking/spinning the engine but not starting? Have you checked for codes in the computer? From the holding the gas pedal to the floor to start it you could have bad coolant temp sensor that's the most common thing i have seen for that. We should run the codes

If the sensor reads too cold it will flood. Then when you hold the gas pedal to the floor it will go into clear flood mode shut off the injectors and all the air coming in will dry the excessive fuel. Then the engine will start.

Please go over this guide and get back to us.
