I am trying to repair my horns that have stopped working. I checked the fuses and relay and they are ok. If I put power to the wire connector from one horn it will operate the other horn but direct power to the disconnected horn does nothing. Does the one horn act as a relay because the connector has two wires and I assume the ground is the mounting bracket. I also looked at trying to remove the horn pad from the steering wheel, but first disconnected the battery so it wouldnt trigger the air bag, but couldnt fiqure out how to release the horn pad. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks

The black wires to to the horn are the constant grounds make sure they are and the green wires are the power triggers when pressing the horn button.

Both horns have voltage and ground wires. Dark green wire is voltage and black wire is ground. Check for voltage and ground at the horn not working. Wiring below.

You should hear the relay clicking when u push the pad if no check for voltage at the horn connector when pushing the pad. If none youll need to probe the turn signal harness connector at the lower steering column. Use a test light and probe the connector when you hit the horn wire the horn will sound. If so its in the steering column. You can install a external horn button or you will have to go into the column. The horn pad is held on with 4/30 torx screws
