When I accelerate down, sometimes nothing happens momentarily, then my tires may even squeal, like now all of a sudden, the gas is now getting thru. If I don't accelerate too hard (ease down), most of the time it does not happen. But If I push it fairly hard, it stalls for just a sec, then picks right up, jumping sometimes. Is this the xmission or a gas problem?

It could be either. If the check engine light has come on, have the computer scanned. If not, check for vacuum leaks and check fuel pump pressure. Without a check engine light, it becomes a guessing game. IT could be a throttle position sensor (TPS). However, that is a guess without the check engine light.

For directions on checking the fuel pressure, refer to our home page under the DIY section. There are directions and a video.
