I have the above discribed vehicle and it overheats when it is idleing only. Driving it gets it to cool down fairly quickly. I thought it was the thermostate and I replaced it about 2 weeks ago. It still does the same thing. About a year ago, I replaced the water pump. I have no clue what is going on. I have no leaks on the ground and no spotting whatsoever. It also seems to be burning oil too. I dont know if that is a result of the temperature getting too hot or what. Can you help?

First make sure fluid is full, then when it is overheated or hot turn engine off and place hand in several spots around radiator if you feel any cold spots the rad is bad. If that is ok then have it pressure tested for a head gasket/intake gasket leak.

You may have no problem at all. The electric fans are programmed to come on much higher than the thermostat temp, usually over 225 degrees so seeing the temp rise when stopped would be normal unless the AC is on. Make sure the fan is coming on with the AC.
