While driving the car I noticed that the needle on the temperature gauge start going passed the middle towards HOT. I then waited until the car cools off and find that there is not any water in the tank and it is empty ( I am not sure what fluid is suppose to go in the tank). Well this has been happening for about 2 weeks now, and the water constantly leaks out. Does the reservoir tank need to be changed, or is it some other major problem?

You need to pressure test the cooling system to find the leak and repair it before you end up doing severe engine damage.

Noticed this question was older. Just wondering if you have had it pressure checked, and if so, what was the leak?
