I have a 2003 Hyundai Elantra and the gas tank release lever isn't working. How do I fix it and/or get the door open

When you pull the lever, does it feel like the cable is still attached to it? There should be tension on the handle when you pull it.

If there isn't then we most likely need to replace the cable. However, if when you pull the level there is resistance then we most likely need to have a seized cable or release latch.

This means we need to have someone pull the lever and you can push on the door and even lightly bang on the door to see if you can release the door.

Once you get it released, you will want to spray the latch with lubricant so that this doesn't happen again.

Unfortunately, we don't have a process in the manual on how to replace this, but we do have the part number and layout of the system.

Please run through this info and let us know what you find with this.

Thanks
