But only when the temperature is over 92 degrees. After cooling down for about 1/2 hour it starts and runs again just fine. While it was stalled and refusing to keep running, I removed the crankcase ventilation tube from the air cleaner case and sprayed starting fluid into the hole while someone cranked the engine. As long as I kept the flow of starting fluid going, the engine kept running. Obviously a fuel problem. Fuel pressure sensor? Fuel pump? A professional mechanic suggested cam sensor and/or crank sensor, but no codes are set and symptoms disappear as the engine cools down and never occur when the ambient temperature is lower. If this was a carburetor I'd say it was getting vapor lock.

Looks like your on the right track to diagnosing, You have ruled out crank sensor already, the car has spark because you sprayed staring fluid in it and it stayed running (just be careful for backfires when using starting fluid, big boom and fire). Anyways, without input from crank sensor you would have no spark, So you have spark, do you have accsess to a noid light? The noid light attaches to the fuel injector connector in place of the injector and flashes light indicating the pcm is pulsing injectors, Lets make sure you have pulse, if you do lets hook up a fuel pressure tester looking for 37-42 psi, if low or not present, this system uses a fuel pump driver module which duty cycles the ground to the fuel pump, the driver module could be faulty, or a faulty fuel pump, to test you will need a multi meter, test voltage at pump between blue/black wire and blue/white wire, it will not show 12 volts because the driver module is duty cycling the ground, look for a reading around 7 volts, if it has around 7 volts and no fuel pressure, replace faulty pump, if it does'nt show any voltage I would suspect a driver module problem.

While I was driving my car died. It will not start completely. I tested the electrical components in the engine. I have tried replacing the coil and nothing happened. I then tried replacing the crank shaft sensor and still nothing happened. When I run the tests it seems as though there is some power going to the coil but it is not allowing the plugs to spark. Even after replacing the coil. The spark plugs test fine. Not sure what else to test or possible replace. Don't want to keep buying parts that are not able to be retuned after opening.
Help please!

What about the ignition switch?
I would suggest scanning for codes
do u have fuel pressure is fuel pump working (can you hear it )
when 1st key on do you have check engine light on?
Is it only spark you missing
check or have the ignition module tested
good luck

No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, cap and rotor, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it.

This depends on which engine you have. I have attached the info for the 1.8L and 1.9L for your review.

Let us know what other info you need. Thanks
